Speaker Cathy Wagner has enjoyed a varied career within a variety of industries in both management and contract roles.
Having begun her career path in Nuclear Medicine, Cathy tried accounting and marketing before becoming a primary, then high school teacher and eventually the Campus Director for a small Christian school.
Her business career began in 1995 when she was offered some work within a large financial organisation supporting senior managers to understand performance management and communication. Since then her career moved into senior and operational roles within The Australian Institute of Project Management, (having also been the acting CEO for a period of time) and The Australian Property Council.
Cathy also instigated the National Women in Project Management forums and is still a volunteer for the Illawarra chapter, co organising the Illawarra Project Management events which are held regularly at the Sydney Business School in Wollongong.
More locally Cathy has consulted to BlueScope in Change Management and writes a number of courses for ITCC. She also consults to Wollondilly council on Economic Development projects.
BizOps Solutions and then Fix Business came about only three years ago after the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) and whilst consulting to the Macarthur Business Enterprise Centre where she saw a number of businesses struggle or fail because of lack of basic business principals and due diligence.
Cathy has also held a number voluntary positions on Chambers of Commerce, AIPM, Local community youth programs and the Change Management Institute of Australia.
Some of her personal achievements include winning the Department of Fair Trading State Award for Consumer Education and her nomination for an international poetry award.
