Guest Speaker: Dr Neryl East from Neryl East Communication
Topic: The Secrets of Media Success for Your Business
Have you ever seen positive media stories about businesses and wondered how they got that great coverage? In today’s digital age we focus a lot on social media for our marketing – and many businesses neglect the enormous power of traditional media including television, radio and newspapers. Dr Neryl East has more than 30 years experience as a professional communicator, including a long career as a journalist. She’ll share her secrets for getting free publicity for your business, generating huge exposure that will drive customers to your door.
Dr Neryl East is a professional speaker, trainer, writer and strategist who helps businesses thrive in today's reputation-driven economy. Neryl spent many years in radio and television as a reporter and presenter before “crossing to the dark side” into corporate communications. Her senior roles included more than a decade in the rough-and-tumble of local government, and she is the author of Named and Shamed: Rod Oxley’s Inside Story of the Wollongong Corruption Scandal. Neryl now advises business leaders on all aspects of media, reputation and communication. She has a PhD and Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Wollongong.
