Guest Speaker: Donna Dark - Principal Consultant/Owner Lighthouse Advisory Services
Donna Dark describes herself as a “go-to” corporate governance advisor, sometimes University lecturer and lifelong learner. She is the principal consultant and owner of Lighthouse Advisory Services. Donna works with leaders and their teams to build confidence, capacity and resilience in their governance systems so that the focus is on the customer, not compliance.
Donna is a member of the recently formed Illawarra Regional Advisory Council for the Australian Institute of Management, and (as you may have guessed) is passionate about professional development. She is inching closer every day to completing her Doctorate in Business Administration through the University of Wollongong Faculty of Business. Her thesis topic explores the ethical climates that exist in an Australian not for profit organisation undergoing significant growth and transformation. If you have a spare hour or two she is happy to tell you all about it!
Speaker Topic: Authentic Leadership – are you the lighthouse for your business?
This session compliments the recent Australian Institute of Management Illawarra seminar about Authentic Leadership, with a practical application of research and current thinking about what authentic leadership looks like, with a focus on what this means for women, and business owners, big or small.
Factors and world events influencing the recent focus on authentic leadership will also be explored in a way that will have you thinking about how you lead the way in your business, and your life.

Business Networking Lunch event - start time
Please note our IWIB Business Networking Lunch event arrival time is 12noon. We need everyone to arrive at 12noon in order to hand out name badges. ALSO arriving at 12noon not only gives you more time for open networking - it also allows us to start the event on time and to help you get back to work on time after the event.
No Advertising or promotional materials on tables at meetings thanks
One of the benefits of being a subsciber of IWIB is to be able to place your business cards, brochures, flyers, advertising and promotional products (pens etc) in the "Mercury bag" left on the chairs at IWIB events. NO advertising materials or promotional products are to be left on the tables at IWIB events - they must be placed in the MERCURY BAGS before the start of the event. Please arrive early in order to do this.
Ticket Refunds & Exchanges once booked
Tickets to IWIB Events are non-refundable, however you may transfer your ticket to another date, with over 48hrs cancellation notice (we have to give final numbers & pay the venue by that time). Please email email@example.com to arrange cancellation and transfer of your ticket to another event.
