IWIB has started off with another full calendar of events for 2010! IWIB Coffee Club - another innovative Networking opportunity saw the start of our networking year. IWIB Coffee Club will meet every 2 to 3 weeks (details can be found on the webpage under EVENTS). The idea of IWIB Coffee Club is to give you the opportunity to make further contact or follow up with the people you meet at the IWIB Lunches or Speed Business Networking, or to make new contacts - in a more casual atmosphere.

The IWIB Illawarra Business Women’s Awards 2010 are fast approaching – closing dates for applications is Tuesday 2nd March at 5pm. We encourage each and every woman in business, whether employed or self employed to consider entering these awards. You don’t need to wait for someone to nominate you! Citizen Advocacy is a movement which aims to recognise, promote and defend the rights and interests of people with intellectual disabilities.
It does so by finding and supporting caring, responsible citizens who are prepared to act voluntarily to make a positive difference in the life of a person who may be isolated, face difficult challenges, or be in a risky situation.
Citizen Advocates also offer crisis support to people with various other disabilities, to resolve impending issues impacting on their lives. This support is time limited.
Illawarra Citizen Advocacy also offers education programs to people with disabilities, interested community members, families, carers and service workers.
